The Female Body is a first-of-its-kind media platform on a mission to transform the narrative around women’s health. By spotlighting untold stories, overlooked research, and long-ignored issues, it aims to create a space where conversations around the female body are no longer taboo, but necessary, inclusive, and empowering.
From branding to social templates, our goal was to craft an identity system that could carry not just a platform but a movement. One that could scale to include future podcasts, roadshows, awards and product lines, while always staying recognisably The Female Body.

Build a brand identity that feels feminine without being passive, and bold without being confrontational
Create a flexible design system that supports a wide range of content formats and future services
Develop a social media toolkit that empowers the internal team to create on-brand content quickly and consistently
Balance approachability with authority—to educate, inspire, and galvanise action
Strategy
The Female Body isn’t just a website. It’s a rallying cry. So we needed to strike a tone that was editorial, modern, and full of purpose—without losing warmth or accessibility.
1. Brand identity with room to grow
The visual identity is anchored in a colour palette that’s intentionally feminine—but not soft. Muted corals, deep pinks, warm neutrals and hits of dark charcoal create a visual rhythm that feels modern, inclusive, and elevated. These tones create space for serious stories and celebratory moments alike.
A simple, clean word mark allows the stories themselves to shine, and a flexible system of textures, overlays, and graphic elements adds depth and variation ideal for the diverse range of content the platform is known for.
2. A system that scales
We knew this brand wasn’t going to stop at a website. It needed to stretch across editorial stories, podcast art, event collateral, product packaging, and more. We built a versatile toolkit of elements, icons, illustrated patterns, typographic treatments, and photography direction, designed to evolve as the platform does.

3. Socials, simplified
To empower the team, we created a suite of Adobe Express templates, each one built with a curated graphic bank, colour overlays, photography assets, and layered illustrations. This ensures internal content creation stays aligned, on-brand and dynamic, even as stories and features shift weekly.
